Family of Minimalist Boards for AVR (MBAVR)

Sometimes it makes the most sense to design systems from the ground up, and other times when simplicity or a quick project completion is desired, pre-built system boards are a better choice. These four MBAVR development boards has been designed in order to create a minimalist and very useful environment to support a rapid development / prototyping of my AVR projects. The boards are really cool, so I decided to share it with you.

Project goal

The MBAVR projects goal was to create minimalist development boards, that will:

  1. base on signle-layer PCB layout,
  2. include only through hole parts,
  3. expose AVR ISP socket (i.e. for USBasp programmer),
  4. make all GPIO pins available on the PCB via pin headers,
  5. contain MCU socket and extra power connector.

MBAVR Boards

  1. MBAVR-1 – for tinyAVR family like ATiny13, ATtiny25, ATtiny45 or ATtiny85
  2. MBAVR-2 – for tinyAVR family like ATtiny2313 or ATtiny4313
  3. MBAVR-3 – for megaAVR family like ATmega8, ATmega88, ATmega168 or ATmega328
  4. MBAVR-4 – for megeAVR family like ATmega16 or ATmega32
